Care Guide

All leather bags can be wiped with a soft, dry cloth for dust. Slightly damp soft cloth for wiping light marks from the leather.

A leather cleaner for leather or suede can be used. Not to be used on metallic leathers though. Metallic leathers do have a light protective coating applied during the tanning and finishing procedure. Light marks can be covered by applying metallic pens to cover up the mark.

Do not use household cleaners or bleach or furniture polish. Basically no solvents or chemicals should be used on leather.

Leather is a natural material, which means that each of our bags features unique variations in colour and texture. Leather is intended to age beautifully with use, and it may soften and fade over time. Lighter-colored leathers can absorb dyes from items like denim, so it's essential to take extra care when carrying these bags while wearing denim.

Vintage finished leathers age very well. they get more character as they age. no need to apply any protector.

Metallic leathers are a fashion item, they have a foiled colour applied after tanning. these foils can rub off with abrasive rubbing over time. I have a holographic tote and still use it after 5 years (still looks great). If you do get 'wear' spots you can apply metallic gel pens (test first on the bottom of bag to ensure colour is accurate)

Cowhide leathers with short hair do eventually wear. They are unique and beautifully natural but avoid overusing these bags. I make the bags with the hair on the outer side to minimise this occurrence.
